The 18-inch telescope is a Cassegrain reflector on a German equatorial mount. It is equipped with a DFM Engineering Guide Acquire Module instrument selector and Roper CCD camera with a 1024^2 25-micron SiTE chip, provided by the NSF. A PC was provided by the AAS and new gearing by the ASU Research Council and the Dunham Fund for Astrophysical Research. All of these grants were made in support of a program of photometry and spectroscopy of Mira variable stars and eclipsing binaries, to which this telescope is currently dedicated.
