This Servco station's canopy lighting is at about 45 footcandles--too bright for safe entry and exit from the highway. This lighting assaults your eyes when you drive into Boone on US421, and leaves you night-blind after you leave it following a fill-up. Just driving by is painful This is only for advertising purposes, to attract customers like
they are moths. There are no good safety or security reasons for these lighting levels, and they are far above values recommended by the IES-NA.
